Our interventional neuroradiologists perform minimally invasive procedures, including the endovascular treatment of cerebral aneurysms, vascular malformations, and carotid and vertebrobasilar stenosis.

In addition, Northwestern Medicine neuroradiologists perform spine interventions, percutaneous and non-vascular procedures including:

  • Painful lesions of the bony structures
  • Percutaneous treatment of vertebral compression fractures (vertebroplasty and kyphoplasty)
  • Disk nucleoplasty and IDET (intradiscal electrothermal annuloplasty), a minimally invasive treatment for chronic low back pain
  • Epidural and selective nerve root injections
