Pediatric Allergy and Immunology
As a parent, it may be difficult for you to know whether your child’s coughing or wheezing are related to a cold virus or if this could be a sign of a chronic condition such as allergies. Our services provide convenient access to pediatric specialists with advanced training in diagnosing and treating your child’s asthma, allergies or immunodeficiency disorder.
Asthma is the most common disease in children, yet it often goes undiagnosed and untreated because of symptoms that mimic other conditions. The same is true for allergy symptoms. While not as common, diagnosing and treating immunodeficiency disorders can also be challenging. Northwestern Medicine offers comprehensive care that includes a variety of diagnostic tests and treatments for pediatric asthma, allergy and immunodeficiency disorders.
